We are a family owned cut-flower farm located in Bluemont, Virginia at the base of Snickers Gap in the Blue Ridge Mountain. My husband and I have diverse professional backgrounds, traveled the world and poured our love and knowledge into raising our children and growing our small farm. We enjoy living close to nature and taking care of our flowers and animals, even the wild ones. Protecting the environment is one of our core business values. Quality is another important value. We strive for quality in everything we do. Our mission is to provide beautiful fresh flowers to our local market. Flower farming is more than a business to us. It is a lifestyle. It’s a way to give back to our community. It's a way to connect with nature and share the beauty with others.
Our seeds are mostly heirloom or organic. Our roots and bulbs are sourced from the best producers in the United States. We select unique varieties and unusual colors and scents to enhance the beauty of nature. We grow a wide selection of premium flowers including dinner plate Dahlias, Peonies, English Roses, Lilies, Larkspur, Zinnias, Gladiolus, Sunflowers, and much more. All of our flowers are field grown and are visited by many bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. We use integrated pest management (IPM) and only use natural based oils and garlic barriers as needed so it is not unusual to see me with a bucket hand picking Japanese Beetles as they appear in our flower field or employ our chickens to pick any moving insects around the flowers. After all, farming is never dull. Hard work rewarded by many beautiful and not so beautiful surprises. It's about life!
